Bullet-resistant glass consists of several layers of glass separated by a plastic foil. The composition, and thus the thickness of the glass package, depends on the bullet resistance class which the glass must meet. There are several classes of bullet resistance with both a non-shatter resistant and a shatter resistant predicate.
