Frosted Float Glass

Frosted float glass is used in Aruba and throughout the Caribbean for its ability to allow light through it while at the same time affording a higher degree of privacy by the way it blurs images seen through it. It also adds a more aesthetically stylish look to many projects. Although its name makes it sound as if something is added to the glass (like frosting is added to a cake), frosted glass is made by taking standard float glass and etching it either by sandblasting it or using some kind of acid, creating a pitted surface that scatters the light passing through it, which is what provides the blurring effect. Any project that requires this effect can find the needed glass products from Mexim Caribbean.
